As I wake up, I force open my eyes breaking through what the sandman has deposited from the night before. I must have slept with my mouth open because I can taste the stale saliva that is now in my mouth, making me desperately want a glass of water. Rolling over to the edge of my bed I started gazing lazily at my small and cluttered room. My eyes pass around my room and over the different girls in bikini posters that multiple friends have given me over the years until I reach my alarm clock, seven-thirty. My job as a professional bale piler begins at eight so I rush through my shower, wolf down my miniscule breakfast, and drive to work. During the drive to work I am mentally preparing myself for the sun, the heat and the wind of every day†¦show more content†¦The intake of air is shriveling my lungs to where they want to scream â€Å"Not another breath!† The seat of my jeans is now soaked through with sweat. Along with my wet seat my long sleeve plaid western shirt is sticking to my skin, making me irritable. Being trapped in this stifling heat and wet clothes is driving me close to insanity! I should learn to accept the heat by now considering that it is July, the hottest and driest part of the feared Nebraskan summer, and every July and August I end up piling these god-forsaken hay bales on my employer’s yellow-green, cab-less tractor. Sitting upon the seat that was worn completely through from the countless hours of many different people the merciless heat bakes me. Looking around the barren and flat field I can see no movement except for the heat waves that are dancing around the crisp hay bales. Then comes a godsend, or so I thought. At first, it was the most wonderful feeling. The warm breeze tickled my face; teasing me into thinking I could survive the heat. Critical Analysis of Virgils Aeneid In The Aeneid, Virgil uses many prophecies. They begin in the first few lines and last throughout the poem. Many are directed toward Aeneas, but some are to his relatives and friends. The prophecies shown allow the reader to better understand the situation and also provide insight about Rome. Prophecies are an important key to The Aeneid. Prophecies are very important to Virgil’s The Aeneid. Early on, Virgil does not hide what will happen, but instead, he allows the reader insight through many prophecies. In the first few lines, Juno makes the statement â€Å"that generations born of Trojan blood would one day overthrow her Tyrian walls.† (32). Poe has two main personalities: the hardworking editor, intellectual critic, the respectable citizen, and the disreputable fellow, who frequented low dives and who often wound up literally in the gutter (Stern 55).
